So, we all know Howard Shore was working on King Kong and that Peter Jackson decided his work was a little too similar in style to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. However, what you may not know is that shortly thereafter, there came a release for a Korean video game - Soul of the Ultimate Nation. I'm wondering if some of the themes he developed for Kong made it into this other massive work. It is a fully orchestrated, very evocotive piece of music - extremely cinematic and similar in structure to his Lord of the Rings work as well.
If you have not had the pleasure - check it out - I think you can still grab a copy on yesasia.com - or do a google search for it. As it was a Korean import, it is not available everywhere - but it was reasonable enough when I picked up my copy - about 13bucks.
Anyone hear of it or better yet listened to it and would care to comment?
